LOUD AND PROUD

LOUD AND PROUD

Somebody's going to make the joke. The Santa one, the battery one, the whole tired routine. And you have a choice: laugh along, or open your mouth and set them straight.

I pick the second one every time. Not with an argument — with facts. First hospital in America. First library. First zoo. The Constitution. Half the things this country runs on got their start inside these city limits.

Having a Proud To Be a Philadelphian mouth just means you refuse to let a stereotype stand in for the truth about where you're from.

Be loud about home. Nobody else is going to do it for you.
